Add your child’s profile

Open KidexGo on the parent’s phone and add your child. A name is enough to start; the photo and other details can be added later.

If the profile already exists, do not create another one. After reinstalling, generate a new pairing code for the existing child.

Install KidexGo on the child’s iPhone

On the child’s phone choose child-device setup. KidexGo will request the Apple permissions it needs. Automatic app discovery can vary by iOS version.

Keep Family Controls permission enabled. Without it, some restrictions cannot be enforced.

Pair both devices with a code

On the parent’s phone generate a pairing code for the selected child. Enter the code on the child’s phone or scan the QR code. The code is one-time and expires.

If the code expires, generate a new one. The child profile, limits and existing rules remain attached to that child.

Choose apps and set the first limit

Open Apps, select an app to control and set a daily limit. You can also leave an app without a daily limit and use quick lock only.

If iOS cannot provide the full app list automatically, KidexGo will show how to add apps manually.

Set school mode and night mode

School and night modes have their own schedules. Choose days and decide which apps should be unavailable during those periods.

After saving, check the parent home screen. A status banner appears only while a schedule is currently active.

Check these three things first.

The child’s phone is online

Remote changes need a connection to sync with the service.

Apple permissions are still enabled

If they are revoked, some restrictions cannot be applied.

The device is assigned to the correct child

If you manage several phones, check the child profile and device name before changing rules.

You’re ready.

After setup, most changes happen from the parent’s phone: adjust a limit, lock an app or add a few extra minutes.
